Comic Books: What They Are & What I Think of Them

Comic Books:
What They Are:
Comic Books are picture books for older teenagers and up. Comic Books show pictures with little words. There are different types of comic books. They are books shortened and sometimes funny in an art form.

What I Think of Them: I like comic books. My favorite Comic Book is Jane Eyre. I also like Manga books. Comic Books are easier to read because they are easier to read because you read them like a regular book.  Manga books are harder to read because they have to be read from back to front.

Fun Fact

The first comic book appeared in the United States in 1932, reprinting the earlier newspaper comic strips, which established many of the story-telling devices used in comics.

Book Blog for Quarter 2 - Ghost Town by Rachel Caine- book 9 of the series

The cover of the book
Ghost Town by Rachel Caine is about a girl named Claire(main character in the book) who works for this crazy vampire scientist and they have to build a system to keep people from leaving Morganville a.k.a. vampire central. Once Myrnin (crazy vampire scientist) and Claire get the system working people are forgetting things. This doesn't happen without a price.

What's good about this book is in my opinion everything. Although the really good part is the beginning of the book and the very end of the book. At the beginning of the book there is a party that Eve (girl in the book) goes to, and it gets raided by vampires. Claire is punished by Amelia( Founder of the Town and a vampire) which leads to the protection system and causes problems.  At the end of the book there is a big fight between a vampire and a handful of humans.
What is not good is the details. The details could be better.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes butt-kicking stories about vampires. I think many people will like this book. Mainly girls will read this book more than boys will. It has teen romance mixed in with action and a little mystery/adventure.
